Lion Sports Management trio head to Europe
Lion Sports management have given three promising youth talents the opportunity of a lifetime, by sending them on trials at European clubs.
The Cape Town-based sports and business consulting firm have taken the time to invest in the youth of South Africa and given them the chance to showcase their talents abroad in Europe.
The agency currently represents Mamelodi Sundowns’ Wayne Arendse, as well as Cape Town City’s new signing Ebrahim Seedat.
Lion Sports also specialises in marketing and sponsorship, and are now driven to help establish South African youth in Europe.
The three players who have been sent on trial are, 18-year-old Shane Roberts who is an attacking midfielder for the Cape Town-based club Hellenic FC, as well as Brooklyn Poggenpoel, a 16-year-old defender, and 17-year-old left-back Jamie Craak, who are both teammates at Old Mutual FC.
Both Poggenpoel and Craak were part of the Old Mutual side that was crowned champions of the 2016 U17 Engen Knockout tournament, which took place in the Western Cape this year.
The three youngsters have been sent on trial at Scandinavian clubs, where they will be given a chance to impress the clubs’ technical teams.
